Exchange Port Expander Module
EXCHANGE EXPANDER
Expander is an add-on to the Exchange patching module for bringing patch chain signals out to jacks on the front panel. This increases the patching options for an Exchange module or allows access to the chain signals between modules.
Expander can be connected to the chain inputs or outputs of the Exchange module. They can be connected at the beginning, middle or end of a chain of Exchange modules. Or they can be chained together to pass 8 signals around the back of your modules to avoid having long patch cables criss-crossing your rig.

The 8 jack sockets are connected to the 8 patch chain paths at the module’s rear. There are two connectors, one for the jack signals and one for the jack ‘normal’ signals. Patch chain inputs and outputs are connected using the jack signal connector. The jack normal connector allows a set of signals to be passed through into the chain when the corresponding jack is removed (see the block diagram below). Patch chain cables are used with these connectors to connect to the Exchange patch chain.
Exchange Expander ships with one patch chain cable. Additional cables must be purchased separately.
