Hover MIDI is a programmable digital synthesizer beam controller. Vertical hand movements measured with an infrared beam are converted into MIDI controller messages, including CC, pitch bend and channel pressure. Freeze the output by pressing the button and continue later where you left off.
 
A Hover MIDI beam controller can be used to add expression to modulation creation with the ease and control of a hand movement. Hover MIDI will connect to a computer or other host via USB, or directly to MIDI gear with TRS MIDI cables. To control analog gear with a Hover controller, see the analog Hover and Hover Euro units.

The main button can be used to freeze the output in various ways, including allowing Hover MIDI to be used like a standard fader or knob: modulate the output with hand movements, and when done, freeze the output by pressing the button. The other modes allow the button to freeze the output when released, zero the output when released, and sample and hold the output when pressed.

Mode, CC and MIDI channel can be saved as presets to allow, for example, quickly switching between different synth controls. The OLED display shows the function parameters and a scrolling real-time output waveform so you can easily visualise your hand position with respect to the output.

Hover MIDI is powered by USB, either from a USB host or from a USB power adapter (not included). It can be used without a USB host by powering it via USB and using the TRS MIDI ports to connect directly with other MIDI equipment.
 
There is an option of two OLED screen colours: light blue or white.
