The patch chain crimper is needed to make your own patch chain cables. Alternatively, premade cables are available here.
The patch chain connectors are crimped to the cable using a common IDC crimping tool fitted with the Archaea patch chain adapter tool.

Patch chain cables use 16-way male Micro-MaTch connectors.
Micro-MaTch connectors must be used with round-profile insulator IDC cable to ensure a reliable connection. The common elliptical profile cable used with standard IDC cables is not recommended. An ideal cable type is the 3M 3365 series.
